The Sandy River Basin Partners have created an on-line Habitat Atlas of the Sandy Basin to illustrate the habitat conditions and restoration potential of the Basin.
The Atlas consists of 3 sections:
- Fish – The Partners gathered data on current and historic ranges of threatened salmon and steelhead species. The maps show where barriers currently exist.
- Land – The land section of the Habitat Atlas shows land ownership and land uses.
- Water – This section of the Atlas shows water temperature and hydrology data for the Basin.
The Atlas was designed to be simple to use. The links above will take you to the three sections. From there, detailed information about the issue and two versions of the maps are available for download. For hi-resolution versions of the atlas maps, click the ".pdf" link and it will open the map in Adobe Reader. Use the magnifying glass + and - tools in the toolbar to zoom in and out.
